The Complete Package

Before your baby is born, Anne will come to your home for check ups every 4 weeks until you are 28 weeks pregnant, then every 2 weeks until you are 36 weeks and then weekly until the birth. Anne carries out the usual checks such as taking your blood pressure and listening to your baby’s heart. A unique feature of independent midwifery is that there is a lot of time to talk about pregnancy, labour and birth and any issues you may wish to raise. These visits are at times to suit you and Anne is happy to come to visit you at the evenings and also at weekends.

When you are in established labour, Anne will come to you in hospital as a birthing companion. She will stay with you until you until your baby is born and you are are both comfortably settled.

There are 10 postnatal visits included in the full package and these are generally spread over about 4 weeks. Anne will do all the usual postnatal checks and take the neonatal blood screening test at about 1 week and can weigh your baby.

The fee for this service is £3,500.
